Red Carpet Eye Candy

I love the Oscar Sunday buzz. Every year I wake up thinking about all chaos that surrounds the celebs on days like this. The last minute plucking, sucking and tucking to look as perfect as possible, just so we can pick them apart. The army of people they hired swarming to primp, prime and polish them for their ultimate judgement day. I guess it's a small price to pay when you're making millions doing what you love.

Since I've spent years looking at everyone else's Best Dressed lists, I decided to put my own list together. So, here we go!

True Ruffle Love

I heart ruffles, clearly. They have allowed me to bring out my inner girly-girl in the most fun, flirty way and I'm loving it! I am selective with my ruffles though. You kind of have to be willing to show off other assets in tighter fitted clothing to balance out the bulk of the ruffles.

My relationship with ruffles began when I purchased this Free People "Ditsy Ruffled Layers Skirt" about 8 months ago.

Then, I got these adorable Diane Von Furstenberg "Waverly" flips...

THEN, I took my relationship with ruffles to a whole new level when I bought this Alice + Olivia "Colette Bouquet Dress" for my wedding rehearsal dinner...

So now, I'm basically in a full-on committed relationship with ruffles. While some people dream about butterflies and rainbows, I dream about layers upon layers of silk chiffon and lace...

Victoria's Secret "Beach Sexy"

And finally, the most incredible wedding gown I've seen to date. I spotted this gem after I had already purchased my dress, otherwise I may have gone for it. Made to order by the incredibly talented Claire La Faye, the dress is called "Some Kind of Wonderful" and that it is...

God Bless Ruffles.

Crushing on Wedges

I know I'm not alone. Wedges are everywhere right now and I'm a big fan. I recently broke down and bought these incredible House of Harlow 1960 Veronika Woven Wedge Sandals and I am in love!

House of Harlow 1960

The other night, after the 2hr Nordstrom catalogue incident, I was left with 7 pair of (adorable) wedges in my shopping cart totaling around $2000... and no, I didn't do it. They are still there and they will likely stay there until they go on sale or I reach a moment of weakness.

LOVE! LOVE! LOVE!

Sequin Shorts

I've been trying to get through a sky high stack of magazines in my living room for the last two months. I  realized today that the reason I still haven't gotten through them is because it takes me about 2 days to get through each magazine. I wasn't always this way. I believe it started when I began planning my wedding about 6 months ago. I see something I like, get on the computer, google it and then get sucked into that specific website which leads me to other shopping sites and 4 hours later I've gotten nowhere, except into more debt. Last night it took me 2 hours to get through a Nordstrom catalogue! That's bad. I'm ashamed... ish.

My point? I wanted to explain my inspiration to start this blog, and here they are...

Free People IRO Sequin Shorts

Yep. Silver sequin shorts. You could own a pair of your very own for just $349 USD. If I had the kind of money to buy a $350 pair of silver shorts, I might actually buy these, and that was the moment I realized... Well, I realized that I wanted to start a blog to post these amazing shorts so I could live vicariously through the person who can afford to buy these and rock the sh*t out of them. And yes, I just bleeped myself in my own blog. Oy vey. I think I need to go to bed.
