Maxi Mini

I've been DYING to put together a blog dedicated to Maxi dresses, but I have been SUPER busy lately!! So, in efforts to get a quick fix, I want to share a dress I've been obsessing over for MONTHS. Check out this beaut, the Blu Moon Pharaoh Dress. Personally, I love the black, but all of them are uber cute!

Of course, now I have to throw in one more. Also by Blu Moon, this is the appropriately named, "Summer Lovin' Ruffle Maxi" which is insanely sexy for summer time!

You can pre-order the black here.
You're welome. :)

Smitten for Stripes

Always been a fan of stripes, but this Spring, Chevron stripes have zig-zagged straight into my heart! You can put them on anything and it's insta-cute. Whether it's clothing, accessories, furniture, dishes or even a wall, they are just so fun!
I wish I had more places to wear dresses like this. Laura Sanchez wore this amazing chevron-stripe satin-backed crepe dress with all the frilly ruffles around the hemline by designer Vicky Martin Barrocal, to the Marie Claire Prix De La Moda Awards in 2010.

On a more casual level, I posted this dress in my previous blog, True Ruffle Love, and I am kind of obsessed. Perhaps it was my inspiration for this entire blog entry? Either way, fancy stripes make me happy!

Flower Girl Fashion Fiasco

People always talk about how stressful planning a wedding is, but I happen to enjoy "planning" so I haven't found it to be the burden everyone talks about. That is, until I started researching Flower Girl dresses. Who knew there would be such a shortage of adorable, stylish, fairly priced, NOT cheesy Flower Girl dresses out there!? I will gladly design some if someone wanted to provide funding! Sheesh, what a head ache though.

Our wedding colors are yellow and grey, and since our bridal party will be in grey, I thought my niece would look super cute in a sweet pale yellow, ruffly number. I assumed there would be tons to choose from, especially when Spring time rolled around... Yeah, well, no such luck. Finally, after WEEKS of searching EVERYWHERE, I moved onto whites and creams and came up with a handful of faves that I wanted to share, in hopes of saving you (or someone you know) all the time and effort I put into my search. Even if I end up helping just one person, it will all be worth it!

To start, I want to give Chasing Fireflies a shout out because they have the best selection BY FAR.

It was a bit of a splurge but that clearly hasn't stopped me before. My sister-in-law and I wish they had it in our size too!
